Middle East Special Envoy Mitchell: The Right Choice?
Sammy Benoit, from American Thinker wrote a great article this morning about the appointment of Senator George Mitchell by Team Obama to be the “Special Envoy” to the Middle East. As Sammy and some of the other commentators, said, however, Mitchell may not have been the best choice, even though he is famous for writing the The Mitchell Report.
The Senator spoke about “his” accomplishment in succeeding with the Northern Ireland peace talks. The truth of the matter is that the Great Britain/Irish conflict was between two civilizations with similar ethnicity, whereas the Israeli/Muslim conflict is entirely different.
Talk therapy does not work with extremist Islamo-fascists who believe that they will obtain their 72 virgins if they make the ultimate sacrifice as suicide bombers. Also, the Mitchell Report, according to Shmuel Rosner for the New Republic points out that Mitchell made the assumption that the Palesinian attacks were not planned.
In fact, sending in George Mitchell reminds me a little of how Neville Chamberlain thought he could deal with Hitler. And that is a big mistake, because the Islamic mind wants to exterminate all non-believers, like Hitler wanting to exterminate all non-Aryans.
Unfortunately, around the world, the mood of “political correctness” is exactly what the Islamo-fascists like, in order to continue their terror. Today, in the Netherlands, the government has decided to prosecute Geert Wilders for “hate speech”. Most of you may know that Wilders made a documentary, “Fitna”, about Islamic customs and the Islamic mind. The movie was a response to the Muslim assassination of Theo Van Gogh.
So, as Sammy said, there are essential differences between what was going on in
Northern Ireland and the Middle East. Very different. The Islamic mind calls for the extermination of all non-believers. That is the difference. No compromise.
By the way I wanted to share something funny that Sammy wrote:
“Obama was elected on the basis of bringing change to America, with George Mitchell’s speech today, we now understand what he means by change. It reminds me of an old joke about a Russian Gulag. The commander addresses the prisoners with good news. “I have decided to ease your burdens a little,” He says, “For the first time in five years I will allow you all to change your underwear. YOU Change with that guy…over there, with the guy here….”

George Mitchell has not been my favorite person ever since the millions of dollars he wasted on that steroids in baseball/”I’m gonna get Roger Clemens if it’s the last thing I do” report.
