Obama & Clinton Treat Hostage Situation Lightly
21 Americans taken hostage by Somalian pirates, the Maersk Alabama was on route to the President’s hometown of Mombasa, Kenya with 400 containers of food aid. A dire international situation that needed the immediate attention of the “president.” However, according to CNS News, he brushed off any questions by reporters, stating, “Guys, we’re talking about housing right now.”
He has not commented on the hostage situation at all. On the contrary, Secretary of State, Hillary Clinton spoke in Morocco about the situation and referred to an earlier time, I believe it was the early 19th century when Thomas Jefferson was president and he sent the Marines in to rescue the Americans from “Muslim pirates.”
When Hillary issued a statement, she said that “the world must come together” However, I believe that we will not need the whole world, just a few well trained Navy Seals to recover the 21 Americans. You will also notice that, like Obama, she seems to be taking this very grave situation by laughing.
Maybe Obama just called up his cousin, Reile Odingo, Prime Minister of Kenya, to take care of the situation.
